The Weight of Birth Work Doesn’t Stop When Your Providers Clock Out

Perinatal care work is both incredibly rewarding and challenging. Supporting mothers and fathers through what could be the best or worst moments of their lives is not for the faint of heart. The physical and mental stress on your team can add up, even when things appear to be going well. Providing therapeutic support to your organization’s second victim support program eases the toll that difficult cases put on your providers.

Your team may be ready for a wellness workshop if they are:

✓ Struggling with sleep, anxiety, or burnout

✓ Experiencing a number of acute patients or negative birth outcomes

✓ Short-staffed for weeks at a time

✓ Feeling frantic, with an always-go pace that never lets up

Meet Your Somatic Workshop Host, Who Leads With the Body, Not Just the Mind

Honorable Mention, Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare Winner

Hi, I’m Rachael Bardnell, a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Perinatal Mental Health–Certified clinician, currently in training in Somatic Experiencing. Most debriefs and wellness support focus on talking through what happened. My workshops start with the body instead, helping your team recognize and release stress before it turns into burnout.

I provide staff support at a children’s hospital and also work directly with parents through The Whole Parent Collective, so I understand both the providers' wellbeing and the families you’re caring for. Whether it’s after a hard case or just time to check in, I’ll meet your team where they are.

Our Wellness Workshops Are for Hospitals, Practices, and Small Perinatal Teams Alike

If you have a smaller perinatal provider practice without access to a large corporate EAP, our group workshops are built for your team. We support a wide range of organizations and birth centers in the perinatal space, such as:

  • Lactation specialists

  • Doulas

  • Midwives

  • Nurses

  • Therapists

  • Doctors

  • And more

“A Space to Pause, Decompress, and Reconnect”

“Rachael created a thoughtful, supportive space for our team to pause, decompress, and navigate the stress that often accompanies demanding work. Her workshops offered practical strategies that helped team members manage stress while strengthening connection and mutual support. Her calm, compassionate and collaborative approach was especially valuable during periods of change and uncertainty, helping us feel more grounded and prepared to move forward together. The time she spent with our team was both meaningful and impactful.”
