Pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period involve a tremendous amount of change and uncertainty. Many parents create birth plans to think through their preferences for labor and delivery. This process takes that idea a step further by helping you create an embodied birth plan—one that not only considers what you hope will happen, but also helps prepare your nervous system to navigate the unexpected.
Birth and postpartum experiences rarely unfold exactly as planned. Someone may suggest an intervention that doesn’t feel quite right in your body, or circumstances may shift in ways that require flexibility. Through this process, we gently explore how your nervous system responds to anticipation, stress, and uncertainty, and we practice ways of settling and supporting your system so you can move through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum with greater awareness and support.
The goal is not to control outcomes, but to expand your capacity to meet whatever unfolds. Together we will strengthen internal and external resources, identify areas where additional support may be helpful, and create a clearer map for navigating the transition into parenthood.
